COLLEGE ROUNDUP : UCI’s Archer Wins Golf Title in Playoff

UC Irvine sophomore Lyle Archer defeated Kevin Riley of San Diego State in a playoff to take the individual golf title of the Anteater Invitational, but SDSU beat Irvine by a stroke in the 36-hole tournament at Big Canyon Country Club Monday.
In nonconference baseball:
Christ College Irvine 8, Biola 2--Lou Simon had two hits, including a triple, and two RBIs and scored a run for host Christ College Irvine (15-17). Biola is 7-19.
