PREP ROUNDUP : Three Girls Spark Los Alamitos to Swim Victory Over Loara

Stacy St. Martin, Marci Herron and Nicole Williamson each won two events to lead Los Alamitos to a 121-32 victory over Loara in an Empire League swim meet Wednesday at Los Alamitos.

St. Martin won the 200-yard freestyle in one minute 55.88 seconds and the 100 butterfly in 59.81 seconds.

Herron won the 200 individual medley (2:16.48) and the 100 free (55.84).

Williamson won the 500 free (5:01.49) and the 100 backstroke (1:02.16).

Los Alamitos is 6-1, 3-0.

In Pacific Coast League boys’ swimming:

Orange 88, Costa Mesa 68--Mike Prahm won the 200 IM (2:12.41) and the 100 butterfly (56.33) to lead visiting Orange (11-1, 2-1).

In Sea View League boys’ swimming:

Newport Harbor 108, Estancia 44--Richie Ruffini won the 200 free and the 100 back and Dietrich Jewell won the 100 free.Ruffini and Jewell also swam on the winning 400 free relay team for visiting Newport Harbor (4-1, 3-0).

In nonleague badminton:

Estancia 12, Buena Park 7--Hung Nguyen won the mixed doubles and won both her singles matches to lead Estancia (9-0).

In Orange League golf:

Savanna 212, Brea-Olinda 237--Mark Patterson shot two-over 38 for Savanna (5-9, 2-2) at Dad Miller.

Valencia 215, Magnolia 293--Kengo Takahashi shot one-under 36 for Valencia (10-0, 3-0) at Alta Vista.

In Pacific Coast League golf:

Trabuco Hills 177, Laguna Beach 191--Mark Christensen shot two-over par 34 to lead Trabuco Hills (8-4, 3-1) at Aliso Creek.

Orange 229, Costa Mesa 259--Dony Besser shot four-over par 41 to lead Orange (7-5, 3-1) at Los Lagos.

In nonleague golf:

Estancia 404, Indio 432--Ryan Davis shot six-over par 78 to lead Estancia at Rancho Mirage.

In South Coast League boys’ tennis:

San Clemente 11, El Toro 7--David Roditi swept his sets, 6-0, 6-3, 6-2, to lead visiting San Clemente (3-5, 3-1).

Suri Appa and Brian Del Benes swept, 6-3, 6-0, 6-3, for El Toro (9-3, 2-2).
