4 Girls Make Division III Team

Four South Bay players, including three from Palos Verdes High School, have been named to the All-Southern Section Division III girls basketball team by members of the First Interstate Bank/Amateur Athletic Foundation board of sportswriters.
Guards Lisa Humphreys and Susan Wilhite of 3-AA Division runner-up Palos Verdes, and forward Kim Robinson of Camino Real League champion St. Bernard were selected to the first team. Sophomore center Monique Morehouse of Palos Verdes earned second-team honors.
Guard Aimee McDaniel of 3-AA champion Brea-Olinda was a repeat selection as Division III Player of the Year.
Sophomore forward Shaneeka Anderson of St. Mary’s Academy of Inglewood was named to the All-Division IV second team. Co-MVP honors went to twins Amy and Anna McConnell of 2-AA champion St. Joseph of Santa Maria.
Chadwick placed two players on the All-Division V team. Junior guard Kala Parker earned first-team honors, while senior forward Annika Sieler was named to the second team. Guard Lourdes Vasquez of 1-A champion Rosamond was chosen Division V Player of the Year.
