BUCKING KCET’S ‘TRADITION’

Why doesn’t a superior presentation, such as “The Western Tradition,” merit a better time slot on KCET than weekdays at 2:30 p.m.? I would phone the station but fear the conversation would go something like this:
Viewer: Hey, why did KCET bury “The Western Tradition” in the middle of the afternoon? Surely it deserves better. How about 7:30 in the evening?
KCET: WellIuhIwe don’t think our evening viewers would be interested in a program about John Wayne, Buck Jones and Tom Mix.
Viewer: I see.

KOCE also carries “Western Tradition,” Sundays at 3 and 3:30 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5 p.m.
