Orange Coast College Wins Newport Regatta
Orange Coast College, which took first in the junior varsity eight and the novice eight, was the overall champion Sunday at the 25th Newport Harbor Regatta.
The OCC junior varsity eight boat won in 6 minutes 1 second. UCLA was second in 6:05.7. The OCC novice boat won in 6:10. UC Santa Barbara was second (6:13.7).
OCC scored 24 points to win the P.A. Palmer Cup, which goes to the overall winner. UCLA (19 points) was second, followed by Santa Barbara (14) and Santa Clara (13).
