San Ysidro
An unidentified Latino male was struck by a car and killed early Sunday while running across southbound Interstate 5 just south of the Dairy Mart Road exit, authorities said.
The accident occurred at 3:45 a.m. near a sign that bears the message “Beware of Pedestrians,” a spokesman for the coroner’s office said.
No charges were planned against the driver of the car, Roberto Solano of Fullerton.
The victim died at the scene.
