Santa Ana Man Is Shot in the Mouth
A Santa Ana resident who was shot in the mouth Saturday was listed in stable condition after he managed to get himself to the hospital with two bullet wounds, police said.
Santa Ana police spokesman Bill Scheer said residents in the 600 block of North Garfield Street called police shortly before 1 p.m. to report a shooting. Officers who arrived moments later found blood in the street but could not find the victim or the gunman.
Shortly afterward, the victim, Eddie Herman Garcia, 32, a resident of the 900 block of West 1st Street, showed up at St. Joseph Hospital in Orange with wounds to the mouth and right forearm inflicted by a large-caliber weapon.
