Rice to Play in Canada

REGINA, Canada —
Quarterback Tony Rice, who led Notre Dame to a national championship in the 1988 season, signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League Tuesday.
Rice, fourth in the the Heisman Trophy voting last season, was not selected in the NFL draft.
While at Notre Dame, Rice was 28-3 as a starter.
