Budd Coates, Jerry Marsh and Mike Keohane have been named to the U.S. men’s marathon team in this summer’s Goodwill Games in Seattle.
They were selected by The Athletics Congress based on performances between Sept. 30, 1989, and March 18, 1990.
Coates, 33, of Emmaus, Pa., won the California International Marathon in Sacramento with a time of 2 hours, 14 minutes, 7 seconds in December.
Marsh, 26, of Santa Monica, was timed at 2:15:20 for third place at the same meet. Keohane, 25, Livingston, N.J., ran a 2:16.20 for fourth at the Columbus (Ohio) Marathon last November.
In April, TAC announced the U.S. women’s marathon team: Linda Somers, Rosa Gutierrez and Leslie Lewis.
