O’Brien Signs to Play Soccer at UC Irvine

John O’Brien, a two-sport standout at Upland High School, has signed a letter of intent to play soccer at UC Irvine, the school announced Thursday.
O’Brien, a 5-foot-11, 165-pound midfielder, was a three-year starter for Upland and was the most valuable soccer player in the Baseline League last fall.
O’Brien also plans to play baseball at UC Irvine. He was a three-year starter as an infielder for Upland.
