Swanson Officially Signs With CSUN

Ink finally reached paper Friday when Dave Swanson of Glendale College put his signature on a scholarship offer from Cal State Northridge, officially ending his recruitment saga.

Swanson drove to Northridge and left the letter of intent with athletic secretary Virginia White. Swanson, a Glendale College high jumper and basketball player, will receive a full scholarship that includes a combination of track and basketball aid.

“Now I’m going to go out and try to get a summer job,” Swanson said.

Swanson (6-foot-5), a 1987 Alemany High graduate, spent his freshman year at Northridge before transferring to Glendale.
