San Diego
A 24-year-old San Diego man was shot to death early Monday in the 4300 block of Bancroft Street. Police found Jose Angel Osuna, a native of Mexico, seriously wounded after they were called at 4:40 a.m. to investigate reports of gunshots.
After administering first aid, police rushed Osuna to Mercy Hospital, where he died shortly after arrival. Osuna was a transvestite, police spokesman Bill Robinson said. He said the police have no one in custody and are continuing to investigate.
