A 14-year-old Mexican boy died early Thursday when he was struck and killed by a pickup truck on a freeway ramp near the border.
Zamora Perez Agustin was pronounced dead at the scene, at the intersection of Interstate 5 and California 905 in the 6:55 a.m. accident, Deputy Coroner Ken Bell said. The driver of pickup was not charged. Many illegal migrants have been killed on the freeways near the border, and signs have been posted warning drivers to be on the lookout for pedestrians.
