Getting Back to the Future at Reunions

Do you wish you could return to high school days when your biggest worries were a history exam or the prom? The next-best thing is going to your class reunion to see whether you still recognize the star quarterback, who now may be as big as the entire offensive line.

Here are some upcoming reunions from schools in the Southeast/Long Beach area and other schools looking for addresses of graduates:

LA MIRADA HIGH: The class of 1970 will gather July 21 at the Irvine Hilton and Towers, 17900 Jamboree Road. The reunion costs $44, which includes dinner, photo sitting fee and a small yearbook. Call 868-0431, ext. 72-212.

LONG BEACH POLY: The golden reunion of the class of 1940 will be Oct. 5 at the Petroleum Club of Long Beach, 3636 Linden Ave. Help is needed in finding many of the 1,250 graduates. Contact the Long Beach Poly Class of 1940 Committee, 1069 E. 2nd St., Long Beach, or call 925-5640 or (714) 838-7054.

ST. PIUS X HIGH: The 35-year reunion of the Downey school’s first graduating class will be Aug. 25 and 26 at the Country Side Inn, 325 S. Bristol St., Costa Mesa.
