THE SIDELINES : Bengals Sign 3 to New Pacts
The Cincinnati Bengals signed three players to new contracts today, including All-Pro offensive tackle Anthony Munoz, tight end Jim Riggs and ninth-round draft choice Mitchell Price.
Mike Brown, assistant general manager of the Bengals, declined to disclose terms of the contracts.
Munoz of USC, 6-foot-6 and 284 pounds, is a nine-time Pro Bowl pick and was a unanimous choice on the NFL’s team of the 1980s.
Riggs, 6-foot-5 and 245, was drafted in the fourth round in 1987.
Price is a 5-foot, 9-inch, 181-pound cornerback who started his collegiate career at Southern Methodist and finished at Tulane.
