Kyle Tarpenning was named Thursday as coach of the women’s track and field program at Cal Lutheran in one of three coaching changes the school announced.

In the other moves, Paul Steele resigned as men’s tennis coach and Carla DuPuis resigned as women’s tennis coach.

Steele, who will take a position as assistant women’s tennis coach at Pepperdine, led the Kingsmen to second place in NAIA District 3 during his only season as coach. DuPuis, who coached the team for two years, remains at Cal Lutheran as women’s volleyball coach and assistant athletic director.
