TOLL BOOTH: Riverside County officials are livid over proposed privately run toll lanes on the Orange County portion of the Riverside Freeway. . . . Riverside voters approved a half-cent sales tax in part to widen their section of the freeway and don’t want to pay a toll at the county line. It’s bad enough to have a a two-hour commute to work in Orange County, says one Riverside official, without having to “pay for that privilege.”
