Rams and Raiders football games, the conclusion of golf’s final major tournament of 1990 and the Dodgers’ continued effort to contend in the National League West highlight the television sports choices this weekend.

The Rams play their third foreign preseason game in three years, facing the Kansas City Chiefs in West Berlin at 10 a.m. today on Channels 4, 36 and 39.

The Raiders are back in Northern California, but only for a one-night stand. The vagabond franchise, still looking for a home and its first offensive touchdown of 1990, visit Candlestick Park tonight for a preseason game against the two-time defending Super Bowl champion San Francisco 49ers. Channels 2 and 8 provide coverage beginning at 6 p.m.

Viewers will be able to appreciate the difficult times golf’s best are having with the deep roughs at the Shoal Creek Country Club when ABC presents the final two rounds of the PGA Championship at 11 a.m. today and Sunday on Channels 7, 3, 10 and 42.

There is only one chance this weekend to see the Dodgers. KTTV Channel 11 and cable station TBS will air today’s 4 p.m. game against the Atlanta Braves. However, both stations are barred from showing Sunday’s game because CBS’ contract with Major League Baseball gives the network exclusivity on the afternoons it airs games. CBS will air the Oakland A’s-New York Yankees game Sunday at 12:15 p.m. on Channels 2 and 8.

While the NFL is in its first full weekend of preseason action, Arena Football concludes its fourth season this weekend with Arena Bowl ’90 between the two-time defending champion Detroit Drive and Dallas Texans. The game matches Arena Football’s two biggest names, Detroit’s Art Schlichter, once an All-American at Ohio State and the Indianapolis Colts’ starting quarterback, and Ben Bennett of Dallas, once college football’s all-time passing yardage leader. Prime Ticket airs a tape of tonight’s game at 11:30 p.m. Sunday.
