1 Killed, 1 Wounded in Driveway Shooting
One man was shot to death and another seriously wounded by a gunman as the pair drove into a driveway in Lake View Terrace, Los Angeles police said Friday. No arrests were made.
The men were shot about 10:45 p.m. Thursday as they pulled to a stop in front of a house in the 10900 block of Olinda Street, police said.
A man with a gun approached the car and fired through the driver’s side window, striking the 25-year-old driver and his passenger several times. The driver, whose name was not released, died behind the wheel. The passenger, Jorge Morida, 23, was able to jump from the car and run into the house. He is hospitalized in serious condition. The gunman fled.
Police said they had not determined a motive for the shooting and have no suspects.
