San Marino Also a Recycling City
Thank you for the article, “These Days, Garbage Isn’t Waste Anymore,” (Times, Aug. 19). I cut out the list of recycling centers to save for future reference.
Please add San Marino to your list of cities with voluntary recycling programs. Nearly 25% of families in San Marino recycle tin and aluminum cans, glass, PET plastics and newspapers with their weekly trash pickup for an additional $2.50 per month.
The trash haulers who pick up in the city anticipate an increase in participation after Oct. 1, when residents receive plastic bins which will make recycling even easier.
