Man’s Body Found North of City Line
The decomposing body of a man has been discovered along Paxton Street north of the Los Angeles city limits, sheriff’s deputies said Wednesday.
The body was found about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday about 400 feet south of Lopez Canyon Road in an unincorporated part of the county, said Deputy Gabe Ramirez of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The body had been there about five days, Ramirez said. It was of a man possibly in his 20s, 5 feet, 6 inches tall, 120 pounds with black hair and wearing a light blue tank top, light blue slacks, a military style web belt, white tennis shoes and a string necklace with a plastic cross, Ramirez said. There was no identification.
An autopsy is scheduled, Ramirez said.
