The Dodgers continue their dogged pursuit of the Cincinnati Reds, the final exhibition football games of the summer, the opening college football Saturday of the decade, and 18 hours of U.S. Open Tennis are among the weekend sports viewing choices on television.

In their final regular season games against National League East foes, the Dodgers face the Montreal Expos at 4:30 p.m. today and 10:30 a.m. Sunday on KTTV Channel 11. The National League West Division-leading Cincinnati Reds can be seen in homes receiving superstation WGN as they play the Chicago Cubs at 11:15 a.m. today and Sunday.

The Raiders (3-1) close out what is guaranteed to be their winningest exhibition season since 1979 today against the San Diego Chargers (3-0) at the Coliseum. The Chargers are seeking their first unbeaten exhibition season since 1962. KCAL Channel 9 will air a delayed broadcast at 5 p.m. while KGTV Channel 10 in San Diego will air the game live at 1 p.m.

There are no exhibition games in college football, so an upset loss could derail the national championship hopes of the two Associated Press Top 25 teams in action today. Seventh-ranked Nebraska plays host to Baylor in a 4:30 p.m. ESPN game, while No. 13 Texas A&M; visits Hawaii with ESPN’s telecast beginning at 1 p.m.

Coverage of the U.S. Open resumes at 11:30 a.m. today on Channels 2 and 8 and at 4:30 p.m. on cable’s USA Network. Sunday’s telecasts begin at 9:30 a.m. on Channels 2 and 8 and 4:30 p.m. on USA.
