Countywide : Per Capita Income Changes

Per capita income countywide grew an estimated 6.9% between 1989 and 1990, but 13 cities had bigger increases during that period. San Clemente and the unincorporated area of El Toro actually registered declines in this measure.

Although Newport Beach residents in 1990 enjoy the largest per capita income, Villa Park denizens showed the largest percentage increase as well as the largest dollar increase (the latter of which was more than three times the countywide jump). Santa Ana had the smallest per capita amount this year, as was the case in 1989, among the 33 cities and major unincorporated areas listed.
