Pringle, Redding Go on Injured Reserve
Former Cal State Fullerton football players Mike Pringle and Reggie Redding have made the Atlanta Falcons’ 47-man roster, but both will spend the first month of the season on injured reserve.
Pringle, a sixth-round draft pick who rushed for 1,727 yards at Fullerton in 1989, injured his ribs before the Falcons’ first exhibition game but played in all four, primarily as a kickoff returner.
He returned eight kicks for 193 yards, a 24.1-yard average, and carried the ball 19 times for 58 yards as a running back in helping the Falcons to a 4-0 exhibition record.
Redding, an offensive tackle who was a fifth-round pick, saw considerable action in the first three games before injuring his neck against the Green Bay Packers.
