House Is on Fire? Here Comes SWAT

SAN ANTONIO —
Southwestern Bell Telephone customers who dial the non-emergency number in their new directories for the city police department will get the local fire department instead. And vice versa.
“We made an error,” phone company spokesman Marco Gilliam said. “We are considering mailing at no charge to all our customers a peel-off sticker to place over (the mistake).”
Company officers still have not determined how the error was made.
