RACING BRIEFS : Sunshine Wins 1st Turf Race
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. —
Sunshine Paul held the lead down the stretch for a two-length score in the five-furlong feature at the Meadowlands on Thursday night.
Driven by Raul Rojas, the 3-year-old scored her first lifetime win on the turf in 57-1/5.
Sunshine Paul paid $5.40, $3.80 and $3. Three Lyrics paid $4.80 and $3.20 and Chipola River returned $4.20 to show.
