COUNTYWIDE : Volunteers Sought for Cleanup Day
The county is seeking volunteers for its second annual Adopt-a-Beach Coastal Cleanup Day, which will be held Saturday. The state cleanup is being organized locally by the county’s harbors, beaches and parks department.
Last year, 10,000 volunteers collected more than 20,000 pounds of debris from beaches and tidelands throughout the state. Groups or individuals interested in participating in the cleanup may contact coordinator Park Ranger Mary Excell at (714) 723-4511.
