Tish Johnson of Panorama City rolled strikes in 10 of 12 frames in the championship match to win the AMF Cobra tournament at Chesapeake, Va., with a 270-214 victory over Aleta Sill.
The title was Johnson’s ninth on the Ladies Professional Bowling Tour and first since the end of 1989.
The 28-year-old left-hander, who ended the game with nine consecutive strikes, earned $20,000 of the $100,000 purse.
