SIMI VALLEY : Man Pinned Under Pickup Truck Dies
A Ventura County man was pronounced dead early Tuesday after he was found pinned beneath the rear tires of his Toyota pickup truck, officials said.
Richard D. Wilson, 42, was found in the driveway of his house by a neighbor, Gary Galvin, 34, about 12:40 a.m. in the 700 block of Black Canyon Road, a remote area near the Los Angeles County line, Ventura County Sheriff’s Lt. Richard Diaz said.
Sheriff’s Department officials said they believed that the death was accidental.
After Galvin found Wilson under the 1985 Toyota 4-by-4, another neighbor went for help, and Galvin moved the vehicle off Wilson, Diaz said.
Wilson was airlifted to Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills by the Ventura County Fire Department Air Squad.
