WAC Council Discusses Expansion

San Diego State Athletic Director Fred Miller said Wednesday the Western Athletic Conference Council faculty representatives discussed expansion, among other things, at the conference fall meeting this week in Denver.

“I think there is a lot of sentiment for expansion,” Miller said. “But it’s premature to talk about it until we get the OK by the presidents, and that hasn’t come yet.”

Miller also said the Conference Council confirmed the WAC baseball tournament will be in Hawaii next spring, voted to keep the WAC women’s basketball tournament at Wyoming, in conjunction with the men, in 1991 and voted to hold the conference men’s basketball tournament at Colorado State in 1992.
