Mission Viejo High School, ranked seventh in Orange County, had little trouble defeating Crawford High Thursday night.

The Diablos (3-1) scored a 39-0 nonleague victory over the Colts (1-3) behind Beau LeBreton and Marcellus Chrishon, who each scored two touchdowns. LeBreton was the game’s early hero, rushing eight yards for a touchdown on Mission Viejo’s first drive, a 60-yard, 10-play effort that left the Diablos with a 6-0 lead after the extra-point attempt failed.

LeBreton found himself in the end zone seconds later after a defensive play. He stripped the ball from Crawford quarterback Phil Parker, then picked it up and scored from 16 yards out, making the score 12-0. The second extra-point attempt, a pass, also failed.

The game was delayed 27 minutes in the second quarter when Parker, who also played strong safety, was injured while breaking up a pass play. Parker was taken to Sharp Hospital, where a spokesman said Parker would stay overnight for observation.

Diablo quarterback Tim Snowden then completed passes of 21, 14 and 27 yards before Chrishon carried the ball into the end zone from the one-yard line. Doug Roberson’s kick made it 19-0 at halftime.

Snowden completed nine of 18 passes for 125 yards with one interception.

Chrishon scored again from the one late in the third quarter, making the score 25-0. Another two-point conversion attempt failed.

In the final quarter, Erick (Fielding scored on an 18-yard run and Payson LeMeilleur scored on a quarterback sneak on a drive that began with a 43-yard interception by Brent Metz.
