HOLIDAY CLOSINGS

Monday is Columbus Day. The following will be closed in observance of the holiday:

All state and federal offices.

County, state and federal courthouses.

All major banks and some savings and loan institutions. Call your branch to confirm.

County buildings: County offices and buildings, including libraries, will be open on Monday.

City buildings: City offices and buildings, including libraries, will be open to the public on Monday, except in Stanton (though it is not a holiday for Stanton city employees).

Schools: All public schools, including colleges and universities, will be open, except those in the Westminster School District.

Mail: All post offices will be closed on Monday, and mail deposited in mailboxes on that day will be picked up according to the posted holiday schedule. There will be no mail delivery. Express Mail and Special Delivery services, however, will be available.

Trash: There will be regular trash pickup by city and county refuse workers on Monday.

Buses: Orange County Transit District buses will run on their regular schedule, and there will be dial-a-ride and car-pool services available on the holiday.

Parks: All city- and county-run parks and recreation facilities will be open during regular hours on Monday.
