Ragin’ Cajun

A little bit of the Louisiana bayou will be transplanted to Agoura Hills Friday, when the “Cajun Occasion” festival kicks off at 3 p.m. with enough food and entertainment to last all weekend.

The event is a fund-raiser for Fair Share Inc., an Agoura Hills-based organization dedicated to training disabled people interested in entering the computer field.

More than 31 musical acts--playing Dixieland, blues, jazz and zydeco--and comedians will perform continuously through Sunday.

Friday’s entertainment will continue until 11 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday events will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Cajun-Creole food fanciers can get their fill of gumbo, etoufee, chicken creole, jambalaya and crawfish, some of which will be prepared by chefs from New Orleans.

The event site will be at the corner of Agoura and Kanan roads. Admission for each day is $3. For more information, call 496-1111.
