USD’s Fuller, SDSU Doubles Win Women’s Tennis Titles
Fifth-seeded Tonya Fuller of University of San Diego defeated fourth-seeded Danielle Scott of Arizona, 6-2, 6-2, to win the Rolex ITCA Southern California women’s tennis championships at the UC Irvine.
Fuller and Scott advanced to the NCAA indoor championships at the University of Minnesota in February.
The fourth-seeded team of Dorey Brandt and Nicole Storto of San Diego State defeated Scott and Banny Redhair of Arizona, 6-4, 1-6, 6-2, to win the doubles title. Brandt and Storto also advanced the indoor championships.
MEN’S SOCCER
The University of Pennsylvania defeated host San Diego State, 2-0, in a nonconference match. The Aztecs fell to 8-5-1. Penn improved to 3-5-1.
Stanford routed U.S. International, 8-0, with four goals in each half.
