In an Angelus League game:

St. John Bosco 21, Servite 9--Jared Lucero scored two first-half touchdowns to lead St. John Bosco at Glover Stadium.

Lucero’s 41-yard run on the second play of the game gave St. John Bosco (5-2, 1-1) a 7-0 lead.

Servite’s Adam Thomas closed the gap to 7-3 with a 45-yard field goal later in the first quarter. But Lucero, who started in place of Derek Ayers, scored on a two-yard run with 9:08 left in the second quarter to put St. John Bosco ahead, 14-3.

Ayers started the second half and rushed for 88 yards in 12 carries, including an 11-yard scoring run that capped a 92-yard drive and made the score 21-3 with 3:30 left in the third quarter.

Servite (2-5, 0-2) scored its only touchdown, on a five-yard run by Ken Mousseau, after recovering a St. John Bosco fumble.
