El Camino Rallies From 26-7 Deficit and Defeats Pasadena, 39-29

El Camino College rallied from a 12-point halftime deficit to beat Pasadena, 39-29, in a Mission Conference Northern Division game at Murdock Stadium on Saturday.

El Camino (6-2 overall, 4-2 in league play) scored three touchdowns and a field goal in the second half to secure the victory. Quarterback Rod Harvey completed 14 of 34 passes for 194 yards and three touchdowns and tailback Anthony Daigle caught two touchdown passes and rushed for 34 yards.

Pasadena tailback, Ostell Miles, rushed for 141 yards on 29 carries and scored a touchdown.

The Lancers (5-3, 3-3) had an early 14-0 lead. Anthony Douglas blocked Scott Peters’ punt and Jose Aguilar returned it 12 yards for a touchdown. Miles scored on a two-yard run with 4:33 left in the first quarter.

Harvey connected with Shannon Thompson for a 26-yard pass that set up Tony Da Costa’s six-yard touchdown run to cut the lead to 14-7.

Pasadena increased its lead to 26-7 when quarterback James Marlborough passed 65 yards to Ray Ethridge. Marlborough threw a seven-yard pass to Shaun Liddell for the other score.

Harvey threw a 16-yard touchdown pass to Daigle to cut the lead to 26-14.

The Warriors opened the second half with a seven-play, 45-yard drive that ended in a 15-yard touchdown pass from Harvey to Daigle.

El Camino scored again after linebacker Paul Koons recovered a fumble by Miles. Harvey passed to Thompson for a 28-yard touchdown. Harvey also found Thompson open for a two-point conversion that put the Warriors ahead, 29-26.
