The Sidelines : Indians Acquire Pitcher Blair
The Cleveland Indians announced today that they have acquired right-handed pitcher Willie Blair from the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for Alex Sanchez.
Blair, 24, started last season with AAA Syracuse but spent most of the 1990 season with the Blue Jays, where he had a 3-5 record with a 4.06 ERA. In 68.2 innings Blair started six games, struck out 43 batters and walked 28 while appearing in 27 games for Toronto.
Sanchez, 24, spent last season with Syracuse, where he went 5-9 with a 5.71 ERA in 22 starts.
