COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Henjum Gets 25 to Help SCC Win in Basketball
Mike Henjum scored 25 points to lead Southern California College to a 95-81 victory over Northwestern College of Iowa in a nonconference men’s basketball game Tuesday at Costa Mesa.
Jeff Bickmore scored 16 points and had nine rebounds for SCC. Bickmore, who is 6 feet 7, averaged 19.2 points and 7.8 rebounds last season.
Elbert Davis added 14, Jason Quinn had 11 and Bryan Moore 10 for SCC (2-0), which led at the half, 47-33.
Northwestern is 1-1.
In Big West Conference women’s volleyball:
Cal State Long Beach 3, UC Irvine 0--In its season-ending match, UC Irvine (9-21, 5-13) was swept by Cal State Long Beach, 15-6, 15-5, 15-13.
Antoinette White had 21 kills for Long Beach (24-8, 13-5), which is ranked ninth in the nation.
Kim Collins had eight kills for Irvine.
