World Boxing Council light-heavyweight champion Dennis Andries of Britain will defend his title against Guy Waters of Australia in Adelaide on Jan. 19, promoter Bill Mordey confirmed today.

The fight will be held at the open-air Memorial Drive tennis stadium and will be the first world title fight to be held in the South Australian state capital.

The pair originally were due to meet Dec. 7 at the same venue, but Detroit-based Andries withdrew from the bout after sustaining an eye injury in training.
