THE SIDELINES : Washington State Reprimanded
Washington State has been reprimanded by the Pacific-10 Conference for NCAA rules violations in its men’s basketball program, Commissioner Thomas C. Hansen announced.
The violations, announced Tuesday, involved a credit arrangement under which two players purchased airline tickets. The public reprimand does not carry any probation or sanction.
“Officials at Washington State were both thorough and cooperative in researching the facts of the case once the possibility of violations had occurred,” Hansen said.
