Share

Erika Miller made nine three-point baskets and scored 43 points to lead Edison High School to a 73-32 victory over Los Amigos Thursday in a fifth-place game of the Savanna girls’ basketball tournament.

Miller’s nine three-pointers were one short of the Southern Section record, accomplished twice last season by former teammate Debbie Fischer. Angie Cole of Royal also made 10 in a game last season.

“I was looking to shoot (three-pointers) because there was nobody guarding me--they played a zone,” Miller said. “So the coach told me to keep shooting.”
