Texas Tech Overcomes USD

The University of San Diego women’s basketball team lost to Texas Tech, 79-58, Sunday at the USD Sports Center.
Christi English scored 15 points and Chris Enger and Molly Hunter each scored 11 for USD (2-6). Enger led the team with 13 rebounds.
Texas Tech (6-2), led by Teresa McMillan with 19 points, took a 44-30 halftime lead.
GOLF
Bryan Gorman, from the Bonita Golf Course, finished seventh with a 290 total in the $300,000 Spalding Invitational Pro-Am in Pebble Beach.
Gorman, who shot 70,71,75,74, in the 72-hole non-tour event, won $6,500.
Juli Inkster became the first woman to win a mixed professional golf tournament with a one-stroke victory over Mark Brooks. Inkster finished with a four-under-par 284 total.
