Christ College Irvine Defeats Cal Lutheran

Corey Smith and Ian Donnelly each had 16 points to lead Christ College Irvine to a 93-76 victory over Cal Lutheran in a nonconference men’s basketball game Tuesday at Christ College.

The Eagles (4-8) took a 41-27 halftime lead and were never challenged by their foe from the National Assn. of Intercollegiate Athletics District 3. Jamie McShan added 15 points for CCI, which next plays visiting Mount Mercy on Thursday.

Jeff DeLaveaga had 21 points for Cal Lutheran.
