Jack Murdy of Newport Beach, one of five members of the California Fish and Game Commission, died at Hoag Memorial Hospital following a stroke on New Year’s Eve. He was 62. Murdy, who had business interests in banking and agriculture, was appointed to the commission by outgoing Gov. George Deukmejian for a six-year term on April 14, 1986. He was scheduled to succeed Bob Bryant as president of the commission at meetings scheduled next Monday and Tuesday at Palm Springs. The meetings will proceed as scheduled, a commission spokesman said.
