VENTURA : Authorities Seek Respondents to Ad
- Share via
Authorities said Wednesday that they are looking for women who responded to a newspaper advertisement for a live-in maid in Ventura.
A 19-year-old Ventura County woman who responded to the ad allegedly was raped Oct. 9, said Barbara Carroll, a district attorney’s investigator.
Carroll said she is looking for other victims who may have replied to the ad, which ran for two weeks.
“Perhaps other people responded to the ad and may feel embarrassed to come forward,” she said.
Detectives have a suspect in the case but have not arrested him, she said.
