The NFL is discussing what their plans might be in the event of war in the Persian Gulf at the time of the Super Bowl on Jan. 27.

“All we’re going to say,” said league spokesman Greg Aiello, “is that there have been preliminary discussions about what would be a proper response from the NFL in the event of heightened conflict in the Persian Gulf.”

The NFL has never canceled a game because of a war, according to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.
