8 Cars Run Over Man; Only 1 Driver Stops
Eight vehicles ran over and fatally injured a pedestrian on a busy street, but only one driver stopped, police said.
“Nobody even hit their brakes. There wasn’t a single skid mark,” Officer Paul Shirley said.
The victim, a transient believed to be in his mid-30s, reportedly had an alcohol blood level of 0.23%.
The only motorist who stopped was a woman driving the fourth car that hit the man. The woman was not charged, but those who drove off could be arrested for leaving the scene of an accident with injuries, a felony, police said.
