PARIS —
The Persian Gulf war has prompted the International Tennis Federation to postpone the first-round Davis Cup match between Israel and France until the end of March.
The match, originally scheduled Feb. 1-3 in Marseilles, will instead be played March 29-31.
Tennis officials have said that security for the competition was not threatened, but that tennis training had become difficult in Israel because of the threat of attack by Iraq.
