Center fielder Devon White and the Toronto Blue Jays reached terms on a one-year contract for $750,000.

White, acquired from the Angels in December, asked for $885,000 in arbitration and the Blue Jays offered $650,000. He made $580,000 with the Angels last season, hitting .217 with 11 homers, 44 runs batted in and 21 stolen bases.

The agreement leaves 135 players headed for arbitration, with hearings scheduled Feb. 1-15.

Catcher Rick Cerone stayed in New York by signing a one-year contract with the Mets.

The Kansas City Royals signed former major leaguer Paul Zuvella to a minor league contract.
