Three people died in traffic accidents Sunday night and Monday morning, spokesmen for the coroner’s office and California Highway Patrol said Monday.

Matthew Thomas Robinson, 22, of San Diego was killed when a vehicle in which he was riding struck several parked cars and a utility pole in the 4300 block of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard about 10:22 p.m. Sunday, a coroner’s spokesman said.

Juan Albert Echeverria of San Diego died when he was ejected from his pickup truck after it skidded into the center divider of southbound Interstate 5 near 8th Street and overturned about 11:15 p.m. Sunday, a Highway Patrol spokesman said. The truck then jumped the center divider and overturned again on northbound I-5.

Echeverria, 24, was pronounced dead at 12:01 a.m. Monday at UCSD Hospital, a hospital spokesman said.

Kevin Ira Harper, 37, of El Cajon was found dead at 7:40 a.m. Monday inside a car that had struck a tree in Alpine, a coroner’s spokesman said. Harper’s car apparently veered off Tavern Road Sunday night, the spokesman said. An autopsy is being performed.
